ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY: SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary rescues and protects farm animals from cruelty. We provide a forever home to 50 animals rescued from abuse, neglect, and abandonment situations. SoulSpace works to inspire change in the way society views farm animals and support people in their quest to live a more compassionate lifestyle. At SoulSpace, people of all ages have the opportunity to volunteer at the farm and experience the Residents firsthand. We offer educational tours with the hopes of opening people’s hearts and minds to the animals and their stories.

Vegan East and Mistress Ginger are teaming up to provide you with an evening of sumptuous sweets and cabaret entertainment. As you nibble on the amazing treats whipped up by Vegan East, you’ll go on a journey through the Cole Porter songbook, as interpreted by Mistress Ginger and her charming piano man Franco Holder. The music is live, the desserts are amazing, and you'll be enchanted!

About the dessert:
Vegan East is an all-vegan bake shop specializing in cupcakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls and cakes. For this special event, each guest will receive a decadent slice of gourmet vegan, gluten-free, lemon raspberry cheesecake, as well as a selection of herbal tea, kombucha or coffee.

Mistress Ginger appears in this historical, hysterical romp that takes place in the doorways, studios, alleys, and hallways of 528 Hennepin Avenue. Now The Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts, this building has been many things, most notably a Masonic Temple. The roaming show features choreography by award-winning local dancemakers Wynn Fricke, HIJACK, Lise Houlton, Judith Howard, Judith Brin Ingber, Sally Rousse, and others; and explores notions of transition and inclusiveness.

ICON SAM: Temple Dances is a traveling experience/promenade performance throughout the eight marbled floors of The Cowles Center. Due to the site-specific nature of the performance, there is very limited capacity for each show. RESERVE TICKETS

To celebrate the run of Kinky Boots, The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is turning The Marzitelli Foyer into a festive nightclub experience for a little “Music on the Mezzanine!”

The Great, Big, (Gay, Happy, Spontaneous, Outrageous) Cabaret Show will happen on two evenings, March 26 and 28. Each evening features a fresh lineup of artists as well as musical material. This outrageous affair will feature some of the area’s favorite musicians, actors, and cabaret performers, including Erin Schwab, Rachel Holder, Jen Burleigh-Bentz, Doug Anderson, and Mistress Ginger!

Musical director and pianist for the night will be Lori Dokken.

So mark your calendars and get ready for two phenomenal evenings featuring music made famous by some of our favorite artists, including Bette, Cher, Barbra, Judy, Lady Gaga — with a good dose of Broadway hits thrown in and a little song and dance!

No tickets necessary! In fact, the Ordway will be giving away some Kinky Boots tickets during the night to a few lucky patrons.  Guests will be able to purchase theme-inspired cocktails and some light food items.

Dykes Do Drag features performers of all genders and orientations, celebrating an expanding continuum of gender expression and performance in the Upper Midwest for nearly 20 years.
